- I really like this one! It is tall and elegant with a mysterious green/brown/blue wash of color that would compliment any flowers it would hold.
This is a medium sized vase with Robin’s Egg Blue Glaze approximately 6.5 inches tall, and 5 inches flared at the top.
- This is one of my favorite colors, an even cornflower blue glaze in a simple yet elegant tall vase. I just imagine all the Gladiolus reaching out of this gorgeous vase.
- This wonderful bowl can be used as a center piece to hold fruit or used as a serving dish right on the table. It is a rich brown with finely textured designs all around the sides.
- Wonderful clear, leaf-green glaze is transparent and takes on different shades of green color like glass over each groove in the hand thrown clay. The spray of white daisy flowers are sprouting across the front.
It was an exciting morning again opening the large kiln with new glazes and altered shapes of vases, bowls and mugs. I have been enjoying using the new Coyote glazes as well as some standby Artists Choice by Amoco. However, this time… I layered those to achieve even more vibrant colors. I also have been adding textures to my bowls using some really detailed etchings into the leather-hard clay. It is hard to chose colors that are not my favorite. But knowing what people like, adding purples and oranges are bringing me into a springtime mood!
- Again working with my imagination I made a fancy vase. It is an emerald-green wash-glaze, drawing a long flower impression on the sides with my fluted top with added dots of clay.
This mug has a great Coyote glaze that radiates different greens and hints of iridescent colors that shine depending on the angle you hold it!
Once again your creativity brings joy to these cloudy, April days.
I love the tall vases and become excited to think brilliant flowers will soon be available to fill them. My favorite is the cornflower blue. I also am drawn to the bowl with the daisies on them. Is there anything so optimistic as a bouquet of daisies?
Keep the creative juices flowing! Your works are inspiring!!!
